DatES: SATURDAY, MARCH 14th OR APRIL 11th, 2026
Time: 5:30pm - 8 pm PST
session fee: $65
location: ma yoga sky room (victoria BC)
Workshop is taking place on the lands of the lək̓ʷəŋən People, known today as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.
🌱 Space is limited to 8 participants.
🌱 Workshop offered twice this season.
🌱 Optional: bring a small item to be placed on the Spring Altar (a stone, a budding branch, something that represents emergence, new
growth, boundaries, or anger).
As the light lengthens and the earth begins to soften, our bodies often sense something before our minds fully catch up.
We are not meant to burst into Spring fully formed.
We are meant to emerge slowly. To stretch. To unfurl together.
Spring is a season of movement and becoming.
Buds loosen. Sap rises. What was held begins to stir.
The Wood Element — and the Liver system it governs — carries the energy of direction, vision, and growth. It also holds our frustration and anger — the natural responses that arise when something feels blocked, constrained, or unjust. In a time where many of us feel the tension of the world, tending to this energy gently becomes both personal and relational work.
We are living in a time that asks much of our nervous systems. Many of us are carrying frustration, urgency, or grief that is not only personal. Spring’s rising energy can intensify what is already stirring beneath the surface.
Spring is not only a complete blooming.
It is also the first shoot pressing through soil.
The slow widening from center.
The health of our wholeness depends on this gentle emergence.
The Slow Unfurl is a 2.5 hour workshop designed to support this seasonal shift — not alone, but in community.
It’s an opportunity for you to meet the rising energy of Spring with steadiness, and to offer your nervous system space to clarify, soften, and orient.
We’ll gather in a comfortable, light-filled space to move through somatic practices, guided reflection, acupuncture, and gentle inquiry — each grounded in the wisdom of Spring and the Wood Element.
This is not a space for forcing growth or demanding clarity.
It’s an invitation to support what is already beginning to move —
in your system,
in the season,
and in the field between us.
You won’t be required to share personal stories or process your experiences aloud — nor to hold the stories of others. This is a space for inward exploration, held in shared presence.
You don’t need to feel energized, certain, or ready to attend.
Spring often begins with restlessness, tenderness, or uncertainty.
This space meets you where you are.
In a world that often urges constant acceleration and reaction,
choosing to grow slowly and deliberately can be radical.
This is a gift of time you give not just to yourself — but to your household, your relationships, your community.
WHAT WE’LL MOVE THROUGH TOGETHER:
An introduction to the Wood Element and the Liver/Gallbladder system through the lens of Tao of Trauma + Five Element theory.
A somatic attunement practice and guided inner inquiry
Restorative acupuncture offered in a group setting to support Liver flow and nervous system regulation.
Moments of inward reflection rooted in the season of Spring.
WHAT YOU MIGHT CARRY WITH YOU AFTER THE WORKSHOP:
A felt sense of what Spring is asking of you.
A somatic map of the Liver system as a source of clarity, boundary, and direction.
Subtle shifts in how you relate to frustration, movement, or growth.
A personal image, intention, or orientation to guide you through the months of Spring.
🌱 Space is limited to 8 participants.
🌱 Workshop offered twice this season.
🌱 Optional: bring a small item to be placed on the Spring Altar (a stone, a budding branch, something that represents emergence, new
growth, boundaries, or anger).
into the dark: nourishing the kidneys in the heart of winter
Date: Saturday, january 17, 2026
Time: 6pm - 8 pm PST
session fee: $45
location: ma yoga sky room (victoria, BC)
DESCRIPTION:
As we turn within the darker season, our bodies know something our minds often forget:
We are not meant to push through winter.
We are meant to slow down. To root. To rest together.
Winter is a time for incubating and gathering. We dream, reflect, sleep, and integrate. There is, in Mary Oliver’s words, a “dazzling darkness” inside of Winter that offers us deep nourishment and resource.
The health of our wholeness depends on this dark and rich passage.
Into the Dark is a 2-hour workshop designed to help us do just that—not alone, but in community.
It’s an opportunity to pause in a season of contraction, and offer your nervous system space to metabolize what it’s been holding.
We’ll gather in a warm, low-lit space to move gently through somatic practices, guided rest, acupuncture, and quiet reflection—each grounded in the wisdom of Winter and the Water Element.
This is not a space for fixing or striving.
It’s an invitation to slow down and gently expand your capacity to be with what is real—
in your system,
in the season,
and in the field between us.
You won’t be asked to share personal stories or process your experiences aloud—nor to hold the stories of others. This is a space for inward exploration, held in shared presence.
You don’t need to be certain or ready to attend.
This space meets you where you are.
It’s enough to wonder how your body is holding the season.
In a world that asks us to go faster,
doing something slow and gentle can be radical.
This is a gift of time you give not just to yourself—but to your household, your relationships, your community.
What we’ll move through together:
An introduction to the Water Element and the Kidney/Adrenal system through the lens of Tao of Trauma + Five Element theory.
A slow, somatic attunement practice and guided inner inquiry.
Restorative acupuncture offered in a group setting.
Moments of inward reflection rooted in the Water Element.
What you might carry with you after the workshop:
A felt sense of what winter is asking of your body.
A somatic map of the Kidney/Adrenal system as a source of restoration.
Subtle shifts in how you relate to rest, relationship, and the unknown.
A personal seed, intention, or image to tend through the winter months.
✨ Space is limited to 8–12 participants.
✨ Optional: bring a small item to be placed on the Winter Altar (a stone, a plant ally, something that grounds you into the dark/unknown/winter/mystery)
